How to work with benchmarking database

INTRODUCTION
Having read the introduction on the main page www.benchmarking.cz you should carefully study the CSQ BMC Code or the Czech Society for Quality Benchmarking Code (you will find it in the main offer)

REGISTRATION
Now you can approach the Registration (in the main offer). An announcement will appear whether you agree to meet the Code. If you do not agree, you can return on the Code pages through pressing of the BACK button. If you agree the registration form will open.

WORK WITH DATA-ARCHIVE

Having received the entry name and password you can enter the database directly from the main page- Entry for those being registered.
You should fill in Login (entry name) and password and confirm OK. Announcement will appear again whether you agree to meet the Code (see the REGISTRATION procedure).
Having reconciled it you will reach the discrete zone - you recognise it from the name of entered subject (in the left section of the active page). There will appear the offer of questionnaires from which you should select appropriate questionnaire for fulfilment or up-to-date.
If all questionnaires are not available it means that the database administrator is working with the questionnaire and you have not access to it in this moment.
Select appropriate questionnaire, complete and send it.
After that you can start to benchmark with the subjects in Data-archive. Choice appropriate selection (filter) and decide whether you wish to benchmark with 10 % of the companies best in class or 25 % of the companies.
You should finish the procedure through choice "Carry out the comparison". 3 diagrams will appear: your subject, 10 % (25 %) of the companies best in class and all others which have already completed this questionnaire.
You can compare sub-questions for each questionnaire using similar procedure.

From the end of 2004 you have also possibility to identify current state of you organisation on the basis of the score assessment. After completion of the given questionnaires the system would generate for you the score assessment, on the basis of which you can conclude, "how are things" with your organisation. It is an advantage that you can carry out this process regularly (for example in yearly interval) and follow trends in development of your organisation. (Are we improving? Does our development stagnate or do we follow even the performance drop?)

After login the score assessment is automatically shown above the questionnaire list.

HOW IS SCORING FUNCTIONING

The system generates the score assessment on the basis of questionnaires completed by you. Each questionnaire comprises 10 questions and 5 possible answers assessed with different number of scores.
After the user completes all questionnaires (info) included in overall assessment the system would generate overall score assessment. In case that you do not complete all questionnaires included in the assessment than although the total number of scores reached by you is shown but it would not have an informative value for comparison and the system would draw your attention on this.
Maximum number of score within reach is 1000.
